Where did the name come from?
Tom's dad was in a band in the 60's called 'The Soundcasters', when the band were looking for a name, Tom wrote a song which the band still play called 'The Soundcasters' about his dads band. We thought as we were learning it why not call ourselves that,

As the outfit we are now 3 years
How did you meet?
Scott and Tom have been mates since birth, Tom met Simon at School and they all met Matt when they were looking for a drum and found an ad on Kentgigs.com where Matt was looking for a band to join
Does one person write the songs or is it a group collaboration?
Tom started off by writing most the songs on his own, but now its a group collaboration
Where is your favourite venue to perform?
We have the pleasure of play the Cavern Club in Liverpool (The Beatles) we always have a great gig and go down a storm

Do you play the same sets each time or do you like to mix it up?
We like to mix it up as much as we can, we like to take the audience in to account as well when playing

Do you have any cover versions you like to perform?
We recorded a version of 'The Weight' by 'The Band' that we love to play. We also loving playing Reggae, but what ever cover we like to make our own

Have you played in Pizza Express before?
We have a few times fro Paul Dunton there great gigs and always a great turn out and great acts that we play alongside with, like Fred Clark
Is it challenging being an unsigned band?
A huge Challenge! Its so hard to get noticed, but we do believe if your good enough and keep at it, you will get where you want to be

What is planned for the future of The Soundcasters?
We are hoping to go abroad soon to gig, we are heading back up to Liverpool in May as well as headline a gig at the Bull and Gate in May
Do you have any advice for new bands?
Gig as much as you can, Charity events, Open Mic nights, everything and anything. Its the best way to learn how to play as not just individuals but as a Unit and a Band

Which musicians/bands have inspired you over the years?
We love allllll types of music, Jazz, Reggae, Rock and Roll, etc etc. We are influenced by the Beatles, The Animals, The Band, and newer bands like The Arctic Monkeys, The Fratellis
