I will also be working under Maddie on the day of recording as a Assistant Floor Manager to her Floor Manager.

AS LIVE Unit: Pitch

Title: Movie Madness

Duration: 30 minutes

Genre: Movie quiz

Channel: BBC 2, Thursdays 8:30pm

This is the quiz show where two teams from the world of cinema go against each OTHER in a battle of film trivia to prove that they are true movie buffs. Now, when I say cinema I mean the buildings and not the filmmakers - as that would be cheating. The target audience is anyone from early teens and up and who consider themselves to be movie lovers.
There will be one presenter, this person would have featured in a film but also has the ability to present, someone along the lines of David Tennant or Eddie Izzard. The two teams would each consist of three people representing the cinema they work for e.g. Odeon and Cineworld. There isn’t a team captain as they are working together to win the game. The first two VTs would be about the teams and with each saying what they think about their team mates, why they like movies and which movie is their favourite.
Each individual show would be themed from musicals one week to Alien vs. Predator the next. The show consists of four rounds. The first round would be “Name The Quote” where the presenter would read a quote from a film (to do with the theme) and the teams would have to name what film it comes from. The second round would be “Picture-Actor” where each team would select the one whose best at drawing, they would then take it in turns to draw characters on a whiteboard for their team mates to guess which actor played them. The third round is “Name That Theme Tune” where we show the third VT of a “Tea-Lady” singing a theme tune to a movie and the teams would have to guess which movie it is. The fourth round would be a pure entertainment round where the two teams would be given props from one of the themed movies and they would have to re-enact a scene, the one that is the most entertaining wins the round. Throughout the show the two teams would be awarded extra points for any bits of trivia about the movies they can give which will go towards their overall score.
